I'm running for Bexar County District Attorney because this is our home, and I've spent my career serving the people who rely on our justice system to be fair, effective, and worthy of their trust.
Bexar County is where my partner and I built our life. My partner has served this community as a San Antonio police officer, and we raised our two sons here. Public service has shaped our family and my career, and it has given me a clear understanding of the responsibility that comes with leading the District Attorney's office – an office that plays an important role in protecting & serving our community and earning the public's trust.
That sense of responsibility has guided my entire career. I'm running to lead with fairness, integrity, and steady judgment –– because that is what Bexar County deserves.
Yours in Service,
Jane Davis

Before I became an attorney, I was a public school teacher in Tarrant County. Later, I served as an administrator and track coach at Angelo State University. Teaching and coaching taught me how to lead, how to listen, and how to be accountable for people in my care –– lessons that continue to guide me today.
My early years in education shaped how I show up: with patience, accountability, and a deep respect for the people I serve.
For more than 40 years, I've worked as a prosecutor, serving under seven different District Attorneys in Bexar County and Guadalupe County. I've seen how different offices are organized, what works well, and what doesn't serve our community or the office effectively.
Serving in almost every section in the District Attorney's office, I have also had the honor to serve as the First Assistant to the County and District Attorney in Guadalupe County. And prior, I have even practiced as a defense attorney –– trying more than 200 jury trials.
This experience matters when you're planning to lead the county's chief law enforcement office.
The District Attorney's office sets the tone for justice in our community. Leading it requires more than legal knowledge –– it requires maturity, temperament, and steady judgement.
I current serve full-time in the administration of the District Attorney's office as Cheif of the Juvenile section, a role I have held since 2019 after being appointed by Joe Gonzales. I understand the pace, pressure, and responsibility that come with this position –– and I have the energy and commitment required to serve effectively.
